Artist Statement
My current body of work mainly consists of a concentration of life drawing studies I’ve done in graphite, conte-crayon, and acrylic paint over the years, as well has photographic studies I’ve taken at variant points of my life starting as a teenager. My studio artwork is uniformly neat in workmanship and is executed in a naturalistic style of art. Traditional fine arts have always been a great interest of mine because of the great amount of skill and time artists had put into their work in order to make it great and seemingly realistic. My photography work varies in subject and I often utilize lighting to create a dramatic effect throughout all my photos.
I‘ve always enjoyed continuously challenging myself to improve my skill in both drawing and painting, and to achieve a great level of artistic skill overall. In addition to this, what also really inspires me to create art is seeing amazing artwork created by other artists which, in-turn, inspires me to want to create something just as awesome. I create what I find beautiful and I hope that my artwork will convey that very same beauty to others whom view my work.
